MYSPACE

Saxey Moments FrontSaxey Moments (right) is the latest solo album from Jools Baker.

A covers album of 12 great songs, featuring Jools playing the saxophone on all 12 songs.

Keyboard solos are provided by Andy Buttsy on 'Lullaby' and 'The Way you Look Tonight'.

Jools made this CD so that people could hear some of the great songs that have been written for the saxophone and how versatile the saxophone can be.

Starting off with Desafinado (slightly out of tune) written by Jobin seemed very appropriate. This lovely song played on the sax with its smokey sound, weaves through the melody and helps to create the start of a sexy ambience.

Saxey Moments BackThe mood continues with Corcovada Ipanema, before it starts to change into a more lively up-tempo mood in Mistay, Lullaby and the Way You Looked Tonight, moving towards swing before finally drifting to a smooch, with the breathy, seductive and playful sound of the alto sax in Where is the Love and Superwoman.

We then cross over from the sounds of soul to the sounds of pop with Have I Told you Lately and I'll be there.

The album of songs then finishes with classics from Phil Collins and Genesis, all of which have been a joy to play.

This is typical of the material that I play in restuarants, pubs and weddings. If you would like to enjoy an evening of Saxey Moments then contact me for more details.
